Special Educators’ Experience Teaching during the Pandemic: A Retrospective Study

With the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, a shift in teaching children with special needs has taken place. The purpose this descriptive research study was to investigate impact epidemic on teacher relationships kids during mandated school closures March 2020. A cross-sectional survey carried out through google form questionnaire. total forty educators participated study. challenges faced by were documented five sections: Demographic details, Online Teaching, Access Resources, Individualized Educational Plan and Parental Satisfaction. During Covid more than 90% teachers switched an online way service delivery. Special agree that resources should be used properly, parents able organize material for education. They agreed acquiring exchanging information (IEP), establishing IEP direction, planning drafting IEPs classrooms, implementing reviewing all tough. Parents’ satisfaction education interest programs lower in-person teaching, according constantly seeking adapt present instructional requirements. Culturally relevant resources, guidelines Plan, family-centered approach are needed.
